Today our writing teacher told us we are writing that you are at the Olympics and you are running the 100 metre run. I enjoyed it when I heard we were writing about running because I love running. It was simple to get the layout of my words right but it was a bit hard to choose who was going to come first and who was going to go in front of other people. Next time I will get more information about the Olympics and what they do.

In lockdown😷 our teachers have set up a choosing board on our site. I saw a pop art activity on the board and I know i'm great at digital art. So I picked it and read the instructions and we are doing a portrait of ourselves.
I really enjoyed using lots of bright colours because in pop art you are supposed to use bright colours to make it pop! It was simple to polyline most of my portrait but it was challenging make each individual eyelash and another thing I found challenging was what shade my colours had to be.

Today we are writing a acrostic poem about Tokyo Olympics. I love writing acrostic poems because I can write whatever I want.
During Inquiry we are learning about the Olympic values which are... Friendship, Friendship means that you care for others if they get hurt or are sad, Respect, Respect is about listening to the referee and your opponents for e.g Shaking the other team/s hand after the competition, Excellence, Excellence is trying 100% in any sport.
When I finished my Olympic slide I wanted to do medals for my create activity. I did the medals with my friend Uma, she did silver and bronze and I did the gold. It was simple to choose what font I wanted to use but when I was up to the detail on the medal it was challenging to do all the individual little diamonds all around the medal. In the future I might make the podium straight and make the writing in the medals tidier.
Do you use the Olympic Values?
We are learning about floods and we were told on the slide to make a emergency kit and to put in onto our blog I want to bring lots of things just incase anything happens.
I found it easy to know what I was going to do for the layout (I wanted it to be bright and colourful.)
I found it hard to think of what's important to bring for in an emergency.
Next time I will make the words easier to see by changing the background or the colour of the words.
For writing we were learning how to write a piece of persuasive writing. We learnt the structure and how you start it like: Finally, Therefore, In conclusion, Firstly, Secondly. Then we wrote a persuasive writing sample.
I found it easy to learn and remember the structure of a persuasive writing.
I found it hard to think of what to write because there is so many things to write about I didn't know what to write about a natural disaster. I also found it a little hard to find evidence on kiddle.
Next time I will make the background because it's a little hard to see my words.
We are learning to write a poem and its all about you. It's called the I AM POEM. We had sentence starters and had to write what we wanted to finish the sentence but it had to be about you.
I found it easy because we had a adjective sheet to help us with some interesting words to put in our poem.
I found it hard to think of what to write on some of the sentences because some of them I didn't understand and some I didn't know what to write because there was to many things to choose from.
Next time I will finish my task in one writing lesson.
